Become a Personalisation Champion!

11th April 2025

Become a Personalisation Champion - your health and care system needs you!

The It’s All About People Personalisation Team are celebrating this week as, in a flurry of sign-ups, we’ve shot past the 200 It’s All About People Champions mark. We now have 207 Champions, in fact. Pretty sweet.

But we’re not the types to rest on our laurels – we’re already on the hunt for more capable and committed Champions to join our personalised care movement.

We know there are hundreds, nay thousands, of colleagues working in really personalised and strengths-based ways across the Lincolnshire health and care system - and it’s you we’re after.

So, do the following statements describe you?

  • I'm passionate about personalisation and strength-based approaches to health, care, and wellbeing delivery.
  • I want to inspire others to work in a person-centred way?

If the answer is 'Yes!', then become a Champion and work with us to put personalised care at the heart of health and care practice in Lincolnshire.

What does being a Champion involve?

Being an It’s All About People Personalisation Champion isn’t about taking on more work — we just want you to continue the impactful work you likely already do, such as:

  • Putting people at the heart of everything you do.
  • Raising awareness of personalised care and its benefits.
  • Advocating for personalisation in briefings and meetings.
  • Signposting others to personalisation training and resources on the It’s All About People website.
  • Sharing relevant personalisation communications through your networks.
  • Promoting the use of technology in personalised, strengths-based approaches.

Once you become a Champion, you might also:

  • Encourage like-minded colleagues to become Champions too.
  • Promote commitment to the Our Shared Agreement Five Foundations
  • Come along to Champion get-togethers to share ideas, tips and stories.
  • Capture and share positive personalisation stories and experiences.

And remember, you'll be fully supported as part of the It’s All About People Team to maximise your impact.

Who’s already on board

Our Champions come from diverse roles, organisations, and locations. Many work in personalised care roles, like Care CoordinatorsCommunity ConnectorsHealth and Wellbeing Coaches and Social Prescribing Link Workers, while others are in clinical roles such as Occupational Therapists, Nurses and Physiotherapists.

Several are with Lincolnshire County Council, including Community Care Officers, Social Workers,  Public Health Officers, and members of the Lead Professional team

Then there are the Managers, Directors, Chief Executives and Administrators from a range of organisations from across Lincolnshire, as well as people with lived experience of health and care services, or our Experts by Experience as we prefer to call them, all united to support positive change.

So, whatever your background, or wherever you are, we want you!

'First Followers' are sooooooo important!

WATCH THE VIDEO below to understand why we want you to join the movement.

We think of the It’s All About People Personalisation Team as the shirtless guy dancing on his own (we really do!) – but become a Champion and you’ll be the much more important ‘First Followers’ we’re looking for to really start to grow momentum.

And don’t worry, we don’t expect you to dance (though some of our events have included some move-busting) – just Join the movement, and Live it, Share it, Grow it!

Testimonials from our Champions

Here's what some of our Champions had to say after their nominations:

  • “I am delighted to be a Champion for Personalisation in Lincolnshire because it really is all about people!”
  • “The Our Shared Agreement Five Foundations are the bread and butter of what we do, and we live and breathe personalisation. I am assisting people to make a difference to their lives through strength-based approaches to care, and I am learning something new every day as well as educating others to have the courage to work a little differently. It’s the perfect job!”
  • “Cardiac Rehab is a great way to have those personalised discussions and ask “What matters to you?” and support patients to realise their potential after what can sometimes be quite a scary event.”
  • “I can’t tell you how honoured I am to be nominated, and I look forward to future events.”

And here’s what our Champions had to say about the events and support they receive from our growing It’s All About People Champions Network:

  • “I attended the It’s All About People Conference in 2023 and was really inspired by one particular speaker. We were encouraged to challenge and not to be afraid of getting under people’s skin to bring about change. This really resonated with me and gave me the courage to stand by my values and the values of Our Shared Agreement in my everyday work life, both strategically and operationally.”
  • “The Champions events are great for networking, meeting people within my industry and PCN, which enhances each other’s knowledge and awareness.”
  • “I was connected by Armed Forces Champion to deliver a presentation at the Personalised Care meeting resulting in me being nominated as a champion. Also made some links for referrals.”
  • “The first event was really brilliant - thank you.”
  • “I get the most from networking with people.”
  • “Another great event - so many different services represented.”
