Health Coaching Week

Starting on Monday 18 September 2023, Health Coaching Week aims to highlight how this person-centred approach can increase people’s capability to self-manage major conditions, and support people to make more informed and conscious choices that prevent the escalation of illness and improve health outcomes.

Throughout the week, partners will showcase how the unique expertise of Health Coaches can bring about positive changes for individuals and the health and care system, such as reducing demand on services and the need for clinical interventions.

There will also be a showcase of good practice and the impact of health coaching across the NHS in primary, secondary and community care, promoting the idea that health and care professionals from any specialism can learn to take a health coaching approach, with the right training.

Friend of the It's All About People Personalisation team Dr Ollie Hart is promoting several key messages via the Peak Health Coaching X feed.

“Health Coaching is one of the most under-utilised resources currently, but we are very much looking forward to working with our partners at One You Lincolnshire and our colleagues across Lincolnshire's Primary Care Networks to develop and demonstrate the value that Health Coaching can bring to Lincolnshire.”
