Lincolnshire County Council colleagues from Adult Care and Community Wellbeing are working in collaboration with the It’s All About People Personalisation Programme Team to deliver training in Strength-Based Approaches to Hospital Discharge Hubs teams across the county.
The workshops commence on Monday 4 December and will provide information on Strength-Based Approaches and conversations, MINDSPACE and behavioural science, the use of technology, and then tools and techniques for applying the knowledge when communicating with people.
Following three interactive workshops, there will be several ‘huddles’ where the practitioners will be given time to reflect on the application of this practice and provide some case studies so that the impact of this new way of working on the ‘people’ they are supporting can be identified.
The training has already been rolled out with workers across Adult Care and more widely, and has generated extremely positive feedback about the difference the training has made to the strengths-based conversations that practitioners are having with people, even when practitioners are already working in a strengths- based way.
This training, which is being delivered to practitioners across United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT), Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS), Adult Social Care and the Reablement Team, is a fabulous example of integrated working and sharing best practice.
