Grantham Aches and Pains Hub Insight and Learning

ROC Research Consultancy's evaluation provides valuable insight into what Personalisation means for five key features of healthcare

"The system is an abstract concept that may be more easily understood as a community."

In 2023, the Personalisation Team set out to do something different to understand the needs of people with Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions.

Using the principles of Our Shared Agreement, we worked closely with people, colleagues, and partners across the system to make the most of what is already available and bring that together in a 'health village' concept.

The first It’s All About People Hub was delivered in Grantham on 11 January 2024, focusing on aches and pains in an MSK context.

Dr Rebecca O'Connor was chosen to independently evaluate the event and the ways of working that surrounded it. In this report, you will see her findings as she deep-dives into the way that we wanted to create opportunities for people to access, interact with, and consume health and social care services and information differently.

"Some services are easily transferred from a clinical environment and can be enhanced by being brought together with other services in a dynamic social space."

An insight and learning feedback session took place on Tuesday 18 June 2024 (see the video record of the session below) to be followed in July with a workshop where colleagues will consider the tools required to enable more of this type of hub event.
