It’s All About People Champions

January 2024 has seen the launch of our new It's All About People Champions initiative. 

We have identified approximately 50 individuals throughout Lincolnshire who have demonstrated their passion and commitment to working in a personalised and strengths-based way. 

These champions will promote personalisation and strengths-based approaches, and will play a vital role by sharing knowledge, supporting peers, and contributing to a positive culture change.

What is the role of an It's All About People Personalisation Champion?

Being an It’s All About People Personalisation Champion doesn't mean extra work - you'll simply continue to do the great work you’re probably already doing, such as:

• Putting people at the heart of everything you do, therefore acting as a role model to influence behaviour change. 
• Spreading the word and raising awareness about the importance of personalised care and its benefits to people through your teams and wider networks.
• Advocating for personalisation in meetings, ensuring it’s a golden thread through conversations.
• Signposting people to the It’s All About People website so they can access  our training and resources to increase their skills, knowledge, and confidence.
• Promoting and sharing It’s All About People newsletters, social media posts, campaigns, and other related communications via your networks.
• Promoting technology's role in personalised and strengths-based approaches.

Once you're a Champion, and working with the full support of the It's All About People Personalisation Team, you might also:

• Encourage colleagues who are passionate about personalisation to become Champions.
• Work to build a commitment in colleagues and peers to the Our Shared Agreement 5 Foundations.
• Engage with the Champions Network, meeting and collaborating with other Champions to share ideas, tips and stories. We organise regular Champions get-togethers - both virtual and in-person - to support this.  
• Capture and share positive personalisation stories and experiences.

Remember, as a Champion, you'll become part of the It's All About People Personalisation Team and will be supported to maximise your impact.

What are the benefits of being a Champion

• A supported role: You will work alongside and receive support and resources from the It's All About People Personalisation team.
• Partnership working: You will have the opportunity to work with other Champions and people with lived experience.
• Professional development: You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and gain access to training, resources, and networking opportunities. 
• Raising awareness: You will be a key influencer in spreading the word about the importance of personalised care and its benefits to patients.
• Sharing best practices: You will join a community of Champions who share success stories and best practices. 
• Developing leadership skills: Your role as a Champion will develop your leadership and persuasion skills.
• Demonstrating value: You will have a key role in demonstrating the value and impact of personalised care.
• A key role in culture change: You will play an essential role in creating system-wide culture change that will have a positive impact on services, practitioners, and most importantly, the public
• Empowering patients: Your work will help people to feel in control and confident about their health 
• A recognised Champion: You will earn an 'It's All About People' badge and digital certification.
