We’re thrilled to announce that person-centred care champion Tommy Whitelaw returns to Lincolnshire in early November for a short tour of the county.
Tommy is the Person-Centred Voices National Lead for Scotland’s Health and Social Care Alliance and promotes person-centred approaches and ‘Intelligent Kindness’ across all areas of care and support.
On this Lincolnshire tour, Tommy will be visiting health and care locations across Lincolnshire to meet and work with a range of services and teams. We’ll be sharing full details of Tommy’s Lincolnshire Tour very soon.
As part of this tour, Tommy is hosting two interactive half-day workshops called ‘You make a difference’ for the first Joint Health and Care Leadership Forum on Monday 4 November at The Showroom, Lincoln.
If you’re interested in attending either of the workshops, SAVE THE DATE in your diaries and we’ll be sharing more information about how to register very soon.
Those who have worked with Tommy before will testify to how powerful and inspirational his approach is. So if that's you, please SPREAD THE WORD about these workshops to colleagues you feel would benefit. Spaces for these events are limited so don’t miss out!
The ‘You make a difference’ workshops, which are aimed at health and care leaders and managers, focus on:
Tommy’s work is led by the values and principles of the ‘What matters to you’ and‘ Intelligent Kindness’ movements. These identify active listening, kindness and person-centredness as a key to providing inclusive support and care to all individuals, as well as creating healthy working environments.
The impact of Tommy’s work with organisations across the UK is well-evidenced. Partner organisations have reported the benefits of embedding person-centred approaches in their organisational structures, processes, and service delivery, seeing improved outcomes both for staff and the people they support.
