Did you miss out on Workshop 4 from the It’s All About People Conference 2024, which was inspired by Foundation 4 - Conversations with and not about people? Or did you just hear how good this workshop was and think ‘Oh, I want to see what that is all about?’
If so then please come along and join in as this huddle explores the language we use when having conversations with and not about people, reflecting upon real stories from people with lived experience. Play a game of ‘Would I lie to You?’, hear about ‘Gloriously Ordinary Lives’ and really challenge yourself on the language you use as we meet Bob (Disclaimer: NOT Bob Mortimer). Language is the most powerful tool we have, come along to this huddle to learn about how we can use language well to build strong relationships and have better conversations.

Come and listen to the inspirational and entrepreneurial Cat Hall, who has a real passion for bringing local communities of all ages together to connect and learn.
Cat Hall Bio
Cat’s love of helping people led her to a major career move in 2020, when she left her role as a financial paraplanner to study for a mental health nursing degree. Graduating this year, Cat is now the lead for a wellbeing hub in Waddington, setting up groups and activities creating fun, support, and music.
Through volunteering and student nurse placements, including the Night Light Café, Cat gained real-life insight into key social issues, such as isolation, loneliness, depression, and dementia.
Personalisation Huddle: Intergenerational Living
Cat is particularly interested in the impacts on older adults, who she feels are undervalued in society, and she is passionate about challenging this by creating a model to support their wellbeing and purpose in life.
No more silo thinking across the age groups as we develop community spaces; she wants to include older adults in the heart of the community. Her vision is for Lincoln to lead the way as a beacon for Intergenerational Living; a City to be known to live as one community, where all ages co-habit, supporting each other physically and mentally.
Cat will share examples of this operating successfully and her passion will ignite your interest in something you may not have thought about before. She is seeking feedback on the concept, practical tips, advice, and connections to move forward with her mission.
You have the fabulous opportunity to help Cat create a community we want to be part of and grow old in!
