If the answer is yes, then become a Champion and work with us to put personalised care at the heart of health and care practice in Lincolnshire.

As an It's All About People Personalisation Champion, you will play a vital role by sharing knowledge, supporting peers, and contributing to a positive culture change across the county's health, care and wellbeing system.

What is the role of an It's All About People Personalisation Champion?

Being an It’s All About People Personalisation Champion doesn't mean extra work - you'll simply continue to do the great work you’re probably already doing, such as:

• Putting people at the heart of everything you do, therefore acting as a role model to influence behaviour change. 
• Spreading the word and raising awareness about the importance of personalised care and its benefits to people through your teams and wider networks.
• Advocating for personalisation in meetings, ensuring it’s a golden thread through conversations.
• Signposting people to the It’s All About People website so they can access  our training and resources to increase their skills, knowledge, and confidence.
• Promoting and sharing It’s All About People newsletters, social media posts, campaigns, and other related communications via your networks.
• Promoting technology's role in personalised and strengths-based approaches.

Once you're a Champion, and working with the full support of the It's All About People Personalisation Team, you might also:

• Encourage colleagues who are passionate about personalisation to become Champions.
• Work to build a commitment in colleagues and peers to the Our Shared Agreement 5 Foundations.
• Engage with the Champions Network, meeting and collaborating with other Champions to share ideas, tips and stories. We organise regular Champions get-togethers - both virtual and in-person - to support this.  
• Capture and share positive personalisation stories and experiences.

Remember, as a Champion, you'll become part of the It's All About People Personalisation Team and will be supported to maximise your impact.

What are the benefits of being a Champion

• A supported role: You will work alongside and receive support and resources from the It's All About People Personalisation team.
• Partnership working: You will have the opportunity to work with other Champions and people with lived experience.
• Professional development: You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and gain access to training, resources, and networking opportunities. 
• Raising awareness: You will be a key influencer in spreading the word about the importance of personalised care and its benefits to patients.
• Sharing best practices: You will join a community of Champions who share success stories and best practices. 
• Developing leadership skills: Your role as a Champion will develop your leadership and persuasion skills.
• Demonstrating value: You will have a key role in demonstrating the value and impact of personalised care.
• A key role in culture change: You will play an essential role in creating system-wide culture change that will have a positive impact on services, practitioners, and most importantly, the public
• Empowering patients: Your work will help people to feel in control and confident about their health 
• A recognised Champion: You will earn an 'It's All About People' badge and digital certification.

The Champions story so far…

The It's All About People Personalisation Champions Programme was formally launched in January 2024. An initial cohort of 50 individuals from across the Lincolnshire health, care, and wellbeing community has been nominated as personalisation advocates, and were invited to become our first Champions.

The response to our email informing this group of their nomination was overwhelmingly positive.  Here are some of the responses we received:

• “Thank you for the email today - you made my day, and I would be very honoured to be a Personalisation Champion.”
• “Many thanks for the email below and I would love to become involved in this initiative – please count me in.”
• “It's All About People Champions sounds really exciting and I would love to be a part of this.”
• “This looks amazing! I would love to be a Champion.”
• “The honour is accepted and welcomed!!”
• “Oh how wonderful, thank you so much! I’ll wait to hear from you – but that’s made my day.”
• “Count me in! Thank you for asking me.”

Since launch, that initial cohort of 50 has quickly become 120, now representing a wide range of roles, professions, and specialties, from practitioners to service leaders, volunteer care providers to ‘experts by experience’.
